Purpose and record distinctions
Texas public-record rules can make basic arrest information available, but they do not mean every record or photograph appears on a public webpage. In Comal County, the sheriff-operated jail creates local booking material, while the county's Odyssey Public Access system has Jail Records, Jail Bond Records, and criminal-case search choices. A particular record can remain subject to the custodian's disclosure rules.
Different custody systems answer different questions. Court records provide procedural outcomes after a booking, state-prison custody is separate from ordinary county intake, and federal or immigration custody follows separate systems. This site explains those distinctions in plain language; it does not host records or booking-photo galleries.

Limits of this private service
Comal County Busted Mugshots is independently operated. It is not part of Comal County, the Comal County Sheriff's Office, Comal County Jail, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, or another government agency. It cannot release a person, confirm custody or release status, post bond, retrieve an official file, or offer legal advice.
- Only the originating public office can give an official answer about a current booking, charge, release, or court file.
- Only a court or qualified legal professional can advise on a case, expunction, or nondisclosure question.
- Public portals and office details can change, and an official office controls its own record availability.
A booking entry records an accusation, not a conviction. Check the appropriate court record for later case action and disposition.
